The Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum (GEEF) 2023, hosted by Yonsei University was successfully held from 2 to 3 February. The Forum, themed “Turning Point: From Crisis into Opportunity” aimed to examine the progress at the mid-point on the way to 2030 for achievement of SDGs and facilitate discourse on the future directions of SDGs.
Professor Kwok-yin Wong, Vice President (Education) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University was invited to participate in the GEEF 2023 as a panelist in the “Future of Higher Education” session on behalf of the University Social Responsibility Network (USRN). During the session, Professor Wong shared his views regarding the significance and practices of innovative education methods for sustainable growth (Click to view the session playback).
Moderated by Professor Donghoon Kim, Senior Vice President of Yonsei University, the session, devoted to the SDG 4 “Quality Education” discussed the role of higher education institutions in realising a sustainable future. Other panelists of the session include, Dr Shinki An, Director of Yonsei Institute for Global Health, Mr Duncan Ross, Chief Data Officer of Times Higher Education (THE), and Professor Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor, Vice Chancellor of the University of Malaya.
