(August 2026, Sabancı University)
Sabancı University has released its first Sustainability Report, marking a significant milestone in demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The report highlights sustainability-focused research projects, an interdisciplinary education approach, university-industry collaborations, and community impact initiatives. It emphasises that Sabancı University considers sustainability not only a component of campus operations but also a transformative force influencing all areas of the university, including education, research, innovation, and community engagement.
With this inaugural report, Sabancı University aims to advance its efforts toward a lower-carbon, resilient, and sustainable future by integrating its sustainability approach into every aspect of its operations – from governance and campus management to academic activities, research and innovation. By implementing short, medium, and long-term practices, the university is working towards its goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Civic Involvement Projects (CIPs) are one of the sustainability initiatives at Sabancı University. Through civic engagement, social responsibility, and community-based learning, CIPs enable students to contribute to society through teamwork and individual initiatives.
