This year’s APAIE conference and exhibition gathered international education policymakers, practitioners and experts from across the globe to the Asia-Pacific region to network, improve professional skills and gain knowledge on the new developments in international education. The APAIE attracted 2,000 delegates, and over 200 exhibitors and representatives of USRN member institutions shared their experiences on ‘Learning and Serving in Action through Co-creation with Rural Elderly’. Special thanks are extended to the session chair Prof. Norman Duncan (Vice President: Academic at the University of Pretoria) and the panellists, including Dr Ben Ku (Director, China Research and Development Network, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University), Prof. Shinki An (Director, Ban Ki-moon Center for Sustainable Development, Institute for Global Engagement and Empowerment, Yonsei University) and Prof. Naoko Tokuchi (Professor, Field Science Education and Research Center, Kyoto University) for the discourse on “Learning and Serving in Action through Co-creation with Rural Elderly: an Application of University Social Responsibility in Sichuan, China”.
