Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – ‘Diversity and Social Justice in Social Work Research, Practice and Education’

27–31 May 2019 in Almaty, Kazakhstan 

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will hold an international summer school programme on ‘Diversity and Social Justice in Social Work Research, Practice and Education’ from 27–31 May 2019. The programme will enable students and professionals in social work and human service-related fields to explore the meanings, practices and implications of social work from the perspectives of diversity and social justice. Participants will engage in lectures, small group discussions, agency and organisation visits, cultural tours and informal interactions. They will learn about issues and challenges encountered by social workers as well as corresponding innovative responses to those concerns. Each USRN member university should send one student representative. All programme fees and accommodation costs will be waived for the student representative, and meals will be provided.
